Texagon Brewing is a small brewery in Montrose, Houston, founded by Simon and Rebekah in 2023. It does not run a public taproom, and visits are by appointment only. Its website calls it Houston's smallest brewery, with a "probably" attached.
The lineup runs wide. Scream Ale is a cream ale brewed with flaked corn and Cascade hops. Red Duke is an Irish red, Bayou Drift is a hazy IPA, Deadhead Abbey is a Belgian tripel, and Take No Quarter is a black IPA.
Beyond the beer, Texagon keeps beehives in Montrose. Select brews use that honey, including the seasonal Bees Envy strawberry honey blonde. Spent grains go to growing gourmet mushrooms, and what is left feeds some local cows.
Visits are private brewery tours. Guests sample the latest brews and see the brewing setup. Bars and restaurants can also ask about putting Texagon on their taps.
