Breweries in Florida

Florida is a big brewery state with no single beer capital. Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville lead, yet together they hold only about a seventh of the breweries. The rest are spread across roughly two hundred cities and towns, from Miami and St. Petersburg to Pensacola and Tallahassee.

Most of the places listed are breweries, and beer stores make up about one in seven. Where size is known, about two thirds are microbreweries and most of the rest are brewpubs.

Coppertail Brewing Co. in Tampa pours in a warehouse taproom that also hosts food trucks. Green Bench Brewing Company says it was St. Petersburg's first microbrewery. In Port St. Lucie, Hop Life Brewing puts a glass window between the taproom and the brew house.
