8th Wonder Brewery is a brewery and taproom in East Downtown Houston, a few blocks from the city's baseball, basketball and soccer stadiums. It takes its name from the Astrodome, once called the 8th Wonder of the World. The brewery started in 2013 in a dome-like warehouse, and its 1-acre beer garden welcomes leashed dogs.
The house lineup includes Tex Blonde Ale, Cougar Paw Red Ale and IP8 American IPA. Dome Foam is a throwback cream ale made in honor of the beer once poured at the Astrodome. Mission Control Porter and Sabotage Stout round out the dark end.
Beer is not the only thing on offer. The taproom runs a full bar with spirits and wine, and it pours hemp-derived THC seltzers too. You can order beer flights or THC seltzer flights.
Guests under 21 are welcome with a guardian, and outside food is allowed. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Houston on this site.

Are dogs allowed at 8th Wonder?
Yes. Dogs are welcome in the 1-acre beer garden. Keep them leashed and clean up after them.
How does ordering work at 8th Wonder?
The taproom sells beer tokens. The website lists token packs for a 16 ounce plastic cup or for three tokens plus a souvenir glass. Unused tokens can be brought back on a later visit.
Can I bring food or kids?
Outside food is allowed, but outside alcohol and THC drinks are not. Guests under 21 are welcome if a guardian stays with them the whole time.
Can I buy beer to go?
Yes. The taproom fills growlers and sells beer and THC seltzers to go.
