Rockwell Beer Company's Grove Taproom & Brewery is its flagship location, near the entrance to The Grove in the Forest Park Southeast neighborhood. Behind a facade built from modified shipping containers sit a 15-barrel brewhouse and a tasting room. Rockwell was founded in 2018.
Core beers include Passing Clouds, a Belgian-style witbier, Stand-By, a hoppy pilsner, and Crisp Chinos, a jasmine rice lager first brewed with KCBC of Brooklyn. The website says its Baltic porter, Kazimierz, was the only Missouri beer to win a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2021.
Architecture firm JEMA reimagined a former industrial building for the brewery. The design uses native prairie grass, reclaimed shipping containers, a decommissioned crane and recycled Missouri white oak.
The tasting room pours seasonal cocktails and wines alongside the beer, with a Latin American-inspired menu from Brasas. Weekly Trivia runs Mondays at 7pm, and the patio and brewhouse can be booked for private events.
