Aslin Beer Company's Virginia Beach location is a taproom built from the ground up on Virginia Beach Boulevard. It pairs the taproom with an IZZI kitchen and an outdoor beer garden. Some beers on the draft list are brewed right here in Virginia Beach.
Aslin was founded in 2015 by Andrew Kelley and Kai Leszkowicz. The name comes from the Aslin family, since each founder married an Aslin daughter. The company also runs taprooms in Herndon, Alexandria, Washington DC and Pittsburgh.
The draft list leans on lagers and IPAs. Land of Sunshine is a kolsch, and Simulation Theory is an American wheat ale fermented with thiolized yeast for guava and passionfruit notes. Both are brewed in Virginia Beach.
IZZI serves pizza, sandwiches and BBQ, and brunch runs on weekends. An Aslin Coffee cafe is open daily. Families are welcome in the tasting room and beer garden, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor space only.
