The Garage Brewery is a 7-barrel microbrewery in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake. It opened in 2018 with a garage and construction theme. The taproom is built from salvaged and recycled materials, with 16 taps that change often.
The tap list runs wide. Recent pours include Lightbulb lager, Worker's Comp hefeweizen, Rusted Nail amber lager and Crowbar porter, plus fruited sours like the triple berry Boss Lady, hard seltzer and non-alcoholic beers.
Food comes from a rotating lineup of food trucks, posted on the events calendar. Outside there is a patio and a patch of dog-friendly turf.
Rhett Rebold took over in 2022, and he also runs a brewery in Virginia Beach's ViBe Creative District. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Chesapeake on this site.
