Equal Parts Brewing is a microbrewery and taproom in Houston's Second Ward. It has been brewing there since 2016. The name is its philosophy: beer grounded equally in art and science.
The taproom sits in a building first built in 1911 and rebuilt after a fire in 1948. Its website says the room seats 80 and keeps the original brickwork, window frames and flooring. There are no TVs, on purpose, so the room is for talking.
The taps rotate through styles. Its website lists Exotica, a tiki sour ale, and Vela, a hazy IPA. Kaixo is a rice lager made with koji and apples.
Dogs are welcome on a leash. Food partners rotate through the taproom, and you can bring your own too. The bar also keeps a slim keg menu.
