Boiler Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom in downtown Lincoln, in the historic Grand Manse building underneath the Grey Whale. It is the original of Boiler's two taprooms. More people have reviewed Boiler on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Lincoln on this site.
The list rotates constantly and covers small-batch beer, mead and cider. The website says brewmaster Jason McLaughlin prefers bold beers. He took over in 2025 when founding brewmaster Tim Thomssen retired, after years of collaborating with him on Boiler beers.
Food at the downtown taproom comes from Boiler's partners at Blue Orchid, with a steady menu. The Boiler Society is the brewery's private bottle club and discount program.
Almost everything on tap is also sold in 16 ounce cans to go. The downtown taproom hosts trivia nights, and Boiler offers tours of its event space.
