Breweries in Nebraska

Omaha and Lincoln carry the Nebraska beer map between them. Omaha holds a little over a fifth of the breweries and Lincoln close to a fifth. Add La Vista, and those three cities hold not far off half of the list.

The rest sit in a few dozen towns, including Kearney, Hastings, North Platte, Grand Island and Scottsbluff. Most places listed are breweries, and where size is known, microbreweries outnumber brewpubs about two to one. Beer stores make up most of the rest.

Boiler Brewing Company pours in downtown Lincoln's historic Grand Manse building, with a list that rotates through beer, mead and cider. Kinkaider Brewing Co. Lincoln is a Haymarket taproom for a farm brewery based in Broken Bow, in the Sandhills. In Omaha, Vis Major Brewing Company greets visitors with a two word motto: drink divine.
