About West Sixth Farm
West Sixth Farm is a brewery and working farm on Shadrick Ferry Road in Frankfort. It is the farm outpost of West Sixth Brewing, a company founded in 2012. Its website says the first 30 acres hold a hop yard, a cider apple orchard, blackberry brambles and a catch and release fishing pond.
The taproom is open seasonally and pours draft and to-go beer. A large pavilion and seating are spread across the property. The website says you can take your beer anywhere on the grounds.
The trails are a big part of the draw. The website describes a mix-use trail system of about 4 miles for intermediate mountain biking, trail running and hiking. The outer trails stay open year-round, even while the taproom is closed.
All ages are welcome, and dogs on the trails should stay on a leash. Food trucks rotate through when available, and you can bring a picnic too. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Frankfort on this site.
