About Stubborn German Brewing Company
Stubborn German Brewing Company is a brewery on South Main Street in Waterloo, Illinois. It fills the first floor and basement of the town's Masonic Lodge, a building its website says was built in 1885. Owners Chris and Tammy Rahn are lifelong Waterloo residents.
The brewery says it specializes in German and American style lagers, stouts and ales. Its flagship, Stubbornfest, is a year-round Oktoberfest brewed in the traditional Marzen style. The website lists 18 taps, canned beer to go, and bourbon barrel-aged beers.
The website also says the bar has the largest bourbon and rye whiskey collection in the area. Cocktails, wine, soda and non-alcoholic drinks are on offer too. Leashed and friendly dogs are welcome on the patio.
