Two Pitchers Brewing Company runs its Oakland beer garden and taproom in a former auto repair shop in Uptown, built in 1919. Inside there are high ceilings, cozy nooks and couches. Outside, the beer garden spreads over two large patios.
The website says it was voted the top beer garden and taproom in the East Bay. More than 40 draft beers and wines pour here, from house beers to rotating guests from other local breweries. The list adds cider, hard kombucha, boozy slushees and plenty of non-alcoholic drinks.
House beers include fruit-forward lagers like the Radler, with grapefruit and blood orange, and Weekender, with passion fruit and guava. Food comes from Lovely's, which serves burgers and fried chicken sandwiches with veggie options.
Dogs are welcome inside and out, with a water bowl on the patio. Kids of all ages are welcome, and high chairs and booster seats are on hand. Weekly trivia, comedy shows and pop-ups round out the calendar.
