COVA Brewing Company is a coffee house and brewery on Shore Drive in Norfolk's Ocean View neighborhood. It opens early for espresso and pours its own beer from a self-serve tap wall later in the day. Two local families opened it in July 2020, and the website says it was named 2026 Norfolk Small Business of the Year.
The tap wall has 18 beer taps and 4 wine taps, and you pay by the ounce. The list always covers something light, hoppy, sour and dark, from OV Pils and East Beach Blonde to Golden Hour hazy IPA and Dark Harbor imperial stout. The brewery says its beers have won at the World Beer Cup, GABF and the Virginia Craft Beer Cup.
A different food truck parks on site every day. Kids get their own menu of drinks and snacks.
Dogs are welcome in all outside areas, but not inside. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Norfolk on this site.
