Ghost River Brewery & Taproom is the original Ghost River taproom, at the corner of South Main and Crump in Memphis. Ghost River calls itself Memphis's first craft brewery, and it has been brewing here since 2007. The name comes from a calm, deep stretch of the Wolf River just outside the city.
The taproom pours 12 ales, a rotating house-made seltzer and a full bar with local liquor from Old Dominick Distillery. The lineup includes Ghost River Gold, Riverbank Red, Grindhouse and Wayward Wit.
The kitchen is run by head chef Jesse McDonald, former owner of New Wing Order, so the wings are the draw. There are bar snacks too, plus a dog menu with treats made from spent grain.
Families and dogs are welcome. There are indoor and outdoor games, plenty of TVs for sports and live music on the calendar most weeks.
