About Ponysaurus Brewing Co.
Ponysaurus Brewing Co. runs a pizzeria and expansive outdoor beer garden on Market Street in downtown Wilmington. Ponysaurus also has locations in Durham and Raleigh. It says it is the only brewery it knows of that started in an attic.
That attic sat above the entrance to The Cookery in Durham, where the company began in 2013. The flagship brewery is still in Durham. It brews traditional and experimental American, Belgian and European style beers, an approach Ponysaurus calls forward-thinking and backward-tasting.
The Wilmington spot is open daily for lunch and dinner. Order drinks from the bartender, or order pizza, salads and apps online to eat here or take home. Food comes to your table or to a to-go station at the bar.
Dogs are welcome in the beer garden. The motto on the website is the beer beer would drink if beer could drink beer.
