About Flytrap Brewing

Flytrap Brewing is a neighborhood brewery in the Brooklyn Arts District of historic downtown Wilmington. It opened in 2014, in an old office building converted into a brewery and taproom. The motto is supporting the community, one craft beer at a time.

Flytrap specializes in American and Belgian style ales. The brewery says its small-batch beers are guaranteed to be at the peak of freshness. A core lineup pours alongside rotating seasonals.

Founder Mike Barlas started homebrewing in his garage while earning his MBA from UNCW. He says he was hooked from day one. His focus is ales that are well balanced and full of flavor.

Art is part of the room. The taproom shows work by local artists, with six curated solo exhibits each year. Enjoy a pint in the beer garden, then take home bottles or 32oz crowlers.
