La Cumbre Brewing Co is an independent brewery on Girard Boulevard in Albuquerque. This is its original Brewery Taproom, open since 2010. The website says its Elevated IPA won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival.
Beer is the focus here. Expect strong, flavorful IPAs and clean, refreshing lagers. Seasonals range from malty English-style ales to hop-forward lagers and experimental German-style beers.
There is no kitchen, but a different food truck parks at the brewery every day. The lineup runs from barbecue and fried chicken to deli sandwiches and wood fired pizza on Sundays. The brewery also points hungry visitors to nearby eateries such as Los Toasties.
