Canteen Brewhouse is a brewpub on Aztec Road Northeast in Albuquerque. Its website calls Canteen Albuquerque's original brewery, brewing since 1994. The site also says the brewery has more than 150 awards.
The Brewhouse taps run from pilsners and Mexican lagers to amber ale, brown ale and several IPAs. Dougie Style Amber, Exodus IPA and High Plains Pilsner are on the list. It also pours cider, hop water and wine by the glass from Vara Winery.
The Brewhouse has its own food menu of sandwiches, salads, chili and shareable plates. Outdoor seating is available, and live music plays on the patio stage on Thursdays and Sundays. Brain Gang Trivia runs on Wednesday nights.
You can take beer home too. Crowlers, growlers and six-packs are sold at the Brewhouse.
