Batch Brewing Company is a brewery and restaurant on Porter Street in Corktown, Detroit. It pours a long draft list of its own beer next to a kitchen that smokes much of what it serves. It also makes its own wine.
The draft list runs from Fly Life, a Detroit lager, to Cobblestone, a dry Irish stout. There is a Czech pilsner, West Coast IPAs, a fruited gose and a strong dark amber lager called Pocket Calculator. Hazty Decisions is a rotating New England IPA series.
The kitchen leans on the smoker. Expect smoked wings, a smoked roast beef sandwich, pork belly and house-made pretzels cooked on the hour. There are vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices, plus a menu for kids.
House red, white and sparkling wines share the bar with a hard cider and non-alcoholic drinks. The brewery takes event bookings by email. More people have reviewed Batch on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Detroit on this site.
