About Hopothecary Ales Brewery and Kitchen
Hopothecary Ales Brewery and Kitchen is a brewpub on Main St in North Reading. It has an apothecary theme, a 10-barrel brewhouse and a full kitchen. The brewery says it is one of Massachusetts' most awarded breweries on the Untappd Community Awards.
The taproom pours 14 New England beers made in house. They run from crisp and refreshing to hazy, golden and full of hops, and new releases keep coming. The food menu leans on pub classics and snacks, and the full bar adds cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic options.
You can sit in the taproom, lounge, bar, restaurant or beer garden. Weekly trivia is on the schedule, along with food pairings and cooking classes.
Private functions fit groups from 30 up to 175 guests, and catering is available too. Brothers Mike and Steve Gabardi started the brewery with brewmaster Kevin McComiskey, and the pilot brewery held its first brew day in 2019.
