About East Regiment Beer Co.
East Regiment Beer Co. is a brewery and taproom in downtown Salem, Massachusetts. It sits in the original Salem fire headquarters, which its website says was built in 1847. The brewery is in the basement, where horse teams were once kept.
Scott Perry and Joshua Engdahl, two Salem locals, started East Regiment in 2014. They bought the firehouse in 2016 and hand built a nano brewery inside it. Josh left in 2024, and Scott still runs the brewing.
Food comes from Crazy Good Kitchen, which serves burgers and chicken sandwiches. Dogs are welcome on the heated four-season patio, on a leash. Minors must be with an adult, and the taproom is 21 and over after 8 pm.
Its events calendar lists trivia, open mic and comedy nights. Groups of up to 80 can book the space for a private event. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Salem on this site.
