West Sixth NuLu is the Louisville taproom and brewery of West Sixth Brewing, a Kentucky brewery founded in 2012 in a 100 year old bread factory in Lexington. Louisville is one of its three taprooms, alongside the Lexington home brewery and a farm taproom in Frankfort. This one has an indoor beer garden and its own galley kitchen.
Seating is easy to find. There are tables throughout the beer garden, plus outdoor seating, a courtyard and bar seating. You order at the bar and seat yourself.
The Galley is the taproom kitchen, and it is open Wednesdays to Sundays. On Mondays and Tuesdays you are welcome to bring your own food. Kids are welcome, and dogs are allowed in the open-air spaces and the courtyard.
West Sixth makes year-round, seasonal and limited release beers, and you can take some home. The taproom sells fresh 6-packs and fills crowlers to order. Akasha Brewing Company is 0.1 miles away, and Falls City Beer is 0.2 miles away.
