River City Brewing Company is a brewpub on North Mosley in Wichita's historic Old Town. It has been part of the local beer scene since 1993, and it calls itself Wichita's original brewpub. More people have reviewed River City on Google than any other brewery, taproom or beer shop in Wichita on this site.
Up to 16 beers pour at once, with seasonal and surprise beers joining the regulars. Tornado Alley IPA is the flagship West Coast IPA. Dim Wit, a Belgian white, comes with an orange wheel on the rim, and Emerald City Stout pours on nitro.
The kitchen makes everything in house and sources all its beef from Kansas farmers. The menu runs from smash burgers and pizza to a whole section of mac and cheese. Staff will help with allergies and substitutions.
Seating runs inside and out on a patio when the weather allows. Two restored rooms, The Loft and the Barrel Room, can be rented for parties and weddings.
