Breweries in Kansas

Wichita leads the Kansas beer map, with nearly a fifth of the breweries. Topeka and Lawrence come next, and together the three cities hold about a third of them. The rest are spread across a few dozen towns, from Overland Park and Olathe to Manhattan, Hutchinson and Salina.

Most places listed are breweries, with a few brewpubs and beer stores. Where size is known, brewpubs are about as common as microbreweries, so a meal and a house beer often come together here.

River City Brewing Company calls itself Wichita's original brewpub, and it sits in the city's historic Old Town. Wichita Brewing Co. & Pizzeria signed a deal to bring back the beers of Tallgrass Brewing Company, a Kansas brand. Outside downtown, Blue Skye Brewery and Eats in Salina and Central Standard Brewing in Wichita draw plenty of reviews.
