Duneyrr Fermenta Brewery is a Nordic and Belgian inspired brewery, winery and event venue on Michigan Avenue in Chicago's South Loop. It co-ferments wine, cider and mead alongside its craft beer, turning out vineyard ales, wild wine and wild cider next to its farmhouse ales. Founder and director of fermentation Tyler Davis built the brand around that overlap between brewing and winemaking.
Its sister brand, Moderne Dune Brewery, shares the building and brews more familiar styles with modern methods for a crisp, drinkable lineup. Between the two labels the taps cover farmhouse ales, vineyard ales, wild wine, wild cider and botanical aperitifs.
The tasting room is temporarily closed to walk-in visitors, but the space stays busy for private events. Duneyrr's Tethered Events books its three rooms for weddings, corporate gatherings and private parties, with room for up to 200 guests total.
