Adams Street Brewery is a brewery with its own scratch kitchen, on the main floor of The Berghoff Restaurant in downtown Chicago. The Berghoff family's brewing history goes back to 1887, when Herman Joseph Berghoff founded The Herman Berghoff Brewing Co. The family brought brewing back in-house in December 2018.
The beer leans German. The website lists classic German lagers, plus rotating sours, ales and stouts. Everything is brewed in house and served tank to tap.
You can order a flight, a pint or a liter stein. Royal Pints To-Go let you take the beer home. The website says its Der Reisende export stout won silver at the 2025 World Beer Cup, and its Steam Engine Kentucky common won silver in 2026.
