Deviant Libation is a brewery and distillery in Ybor Heights, opened in January 2023 by Tim Ogden. Ogden is a 20-year Tampa brewing veteran who contributed to Cigar City Brewing and Tampa Bay Brewing Company. He built Deviant as an inclusive space for punks, the queer and trans community and anyone who wants a less typical bar.
The house list runs from golden ales and fruited sours to dark ales. NDK Wheat is a light American wheat, and a run of radlers comes in peach, watermelon, hibiscus, pineapple and grapefruit. Apostasy Stout, a Russian imperial stout, was brewed with Atlanta doom band Lungburner.
The still makes White Magick Vodka, which shows up in house cocktails like the Magick Mule. Premium mocktails are on the menu for anyone not drinking. A flight of four house drafts is the brewery's suggested way to start.
Live music and other events fill the calendar, and a Friends & Neighbors meetup runs every fourth Thursday. Brewery tours are available on request whenever a brewer is in.
