Kilowatt Brewing Kearny Mesa is a brewery on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego. It's one of three Kilowatt tasting rooms in San Diego County, alongside sister locations in Ocean Beach and Oceanside.
The taproom pours 20 or more beers at a time, from IPAs and traditional styles to barrel aged, fruit and sour beers, all brewed small batch. The brewery says its beers have picked up several medals, including a bronze for its Chocolate Macadamia Stout and a gold for its Maple Smoked Maibock at the Great American Beer Festival.
The tasting room is built around rotating artwork from local artists, black light pieces you can view with provided 3D glasses, and a hand-built glass infinity mirror room. Oversized custom versions of classic games add to the room's playful feel.
