About Cross-Eyed Owl Brewing Company
Cross-Eyed Owl Brewing Company is a brewery and taproom on 1st Avenue NE in Decatur. The brewery says it is Decatur's oldest brewery. Its beers lean toward traditional German, British and Belgian styles, with American IPAs and experimental brews alongside.
The tap list runs from a Munich style lager and a dark Kellerbier to a Belgian tripel, a hazy IPA and an imperial stout. There is also a peach mead, a frozen seltzer, and house-made root beer and cola with no alcohol.
Coffee is roasted in-house at The Owl Cafe, and hot or cold brew is served whenever the taproom is open. The kitchen makes sandwiches and bar snacks. Live music and weekly events fill the calendar, including a River City Runners fun run on Tuesdays.
The entrance and the parking lot are both wheelchair accessible. Crowlers are sold to go.
