Working Draft Beer Company is a brewery and taproom on East Wilson Street in Madison. It has brewed European lagers and hoppy ales since 2018. The bartop and common tables are solid maple from lanes 21, 22 and 24 of the old Village Lanes bowling alley in Monona.
The flagships are To Those Who Wait, a Czech-style pale lager, and Pulp Culture Hazy IPA. The taps also carry crisp lagers, fresh IPAs and malty English ales poured through a traditional beer engine. The open brewhouse sits right in the taproom.
There is always pizza from Sal's Tomato Pies and giant pretzels from Batch Bakehouse. Food trucks and pop-ups visit too. An Artist-in-Residence program gives local artists gallery space, acoustic music nights and poetry readings.
Weeknights are busy. Monday is Lego night, Tuesday is bingo and Wednesday is house-made trivia. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Madison on this site.
