Breweries in Wisconsin

Wisconsin is a big brewery state, and beer gardens show up on its list more often than beer stores. Breweries still make up the large majority, and where size is known, most are microbreweries or brewpubs.

Milwaukee leads with about a seventh of the breweries, and Madison comes next. La Crosse, Appleton and Green Bay follow, and the rest are spread across well over a hundred towns.

Working Draft Beer Company in Madison built its bartop from the lanes of an old bowling alley. Eagle Park Brewing Company pours in Milwaukee in a cream city brick garage built for the Gallun Tannery. Delta Beer Lab on East Badger Road in Madison calls itself a Social Laboratory and community destination.
