About Alpine Goat Brewery

Alpine Goat Brewery is a farm brewery in Weyers Cave, about 3 miles from I-81. It brings German and Austrian beer styles and a big beer hall feel to the Shenandoah Valley. Mountain views come with the visit.

The taps lean toward European lagers. Lackner Lager is the flagship doppelbock, brewed in honor of the owner's Austrian family. The list also includes a kölsch-style Hausbier, a German Pilsner, a hefeweizen, a schwarzbier and a Berliner Weisse.

For anyone who wants something else, there is an East Coast IPA, an Alpine Pale Ale, a hard seltzer and non-alcoholic beer. Light snacks are served during taproom hours, and food trucks rotate through on weekends and event days.

Families and well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome in the taproom and the outdoor Biergarten. The grounds have open lawn for cornhole and yard games. Trivia runs on Wednesdays, and the brewery hosts private events.
