Hardywood Park Craft Brewery - Richmond is the brewery's original taproom, in Richmond's Historic German Brewing District. It pairs a taproom and an outdoor beer garden with the Hardywood Pizza Kitchen. Hardywood also runs a second taproom at West Creek, about 20 minutes from downtown.
Hardywood says it brews with Virginia-grown ingredients and renewable energy. The Richmond taproom pours beer, cider, wine, cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Happy hour discounts beer and cider on Tuesday through Thursday afternoons.
The Pizza Kitchen turns out wood-fired pizza and pretzel bites, with specials that rotate. Any pizza can go on a gluten free crust, and many can take vegan cheese. The kitchen sources from local providers such as Old Tavern Farm and Rudy's Mushrooms.
