About Ardent Craft Ales
From Ardent Craft Ales' own website and its Google listing, read October 5, 2026.
Ardent Craft Ales is a brewery, taproom and beer garden in the Scott's Addition neighborhood of Richmond. Its website says the team has been brewing in Richmond since 2014. It started as a homebrew co-op in a Church Hill garage.
The taproom keeps a rotating draft list that spans IPAs, lagers, saisons, stouts and seasonal releases. The flagship beers on its website are IPA X, a Pilsner and an IPA. Ardent beer is sold on draft and in cans, and the taproom also serves cider, wine and non-alcoholic options.
The beer garden is the draw on a nice day. Dogs on a leash are welcome outdoors, and kids are welcome everywhere. The taproom kitchen serves a limited menu, and outside food is allowed from neighbors like Eazzy Burger and ZZQ.
The taproom hosts trivia on Tuesdays and a craft night on Mondays. Groups of 10 or more can reserve space for private parties. More people have reviewed Ardent on Google than at most breweries in Richmond on this site, and it is one of the more reviewed spots in the city.
