About Starr Hill Downtown
Starr Hill Downtown is a taproom and bar inside the Dairy Market building on Grady Avenue in Charlottesville. It is the brewery's return to the neighborhood it was named after. Starr Hill was founded in Charlottesville in 1999, and its website calls it the second oldest craft brewery in Virginia.
The main brewery and tap room are in Crozet. The Charlottesville bar pours Starr Hill beer, plus non-alcoholic beer and mocktails. Its website says guests can drink Starr Hill beverages anywhere in the taproom and the Dairy Market vendor spaces.
A full food menu is available to order at the taproom and bar. You can also bring in food from the Dairy Market vendors. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio only.
Trivia night starts at 7pm, and karaoke runs on the second Thursday of the month. Kids are welcome with a supervising adult. Packaged beer is sold cold for taking home.
