About The Vermont Pub & Brewery
The Vermont Pub & Brewery is a brewpub on College Street in Burlington. Its website says it is the state's longest running brewery and first brewpub, open since 1988. Founder Greg Noonan lobbied Vermont to allow on-site consumption where the beer is made.
The taproom runs 11 taps, brewed in-house on a small 14 BBL system. Styles range from classic lagers to ales and IPAs. The website says the brewers still make many of Greg's original recipes, along with newer ones from Brewmaster Scott Gawitt.
The beer is not bottled or canned. You drink it on site or take a growler home. The full-service restaurant serves a straightforward pub menu, sourced locally as much as possible.
Live music plays on the patio or in the bar, and the events page also lists beer tastings, beer crawls and patio parties. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom and seating.
