Old Gregg Brewing Company is a brewery and full bar in Pflugerville, in the Howard Post retail center. Its website says it pours beer, hard seltzers, cocktails, frozen drinks and homemade colas. An open-air building, a big yard and patios surround a pond the brewery calls Black Lake.
The beer list on its website ran from a pilsner and a west coast IPA to a hazy IPA and a nitro Irish-style stout. One lager is brewed with strawberries from Poteet. Root beer and Dr. Kirby sodas are made in-house, and the website suggests trying them as ice cream floats.
Food comes from two spots on site. Deft Pies makes 16-inch Chicago tavern-style pizza, and Yellow Bell Tacos serves Texas BBQ tacos. Both have kids' menus, and the website says a Michelin-starred chef is behind them.
Kids are welcome, and the yard is fenced with games. Leashed, well-behaved dogs can come on the patios and in the yard. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Pflugerville on this site.
