Austin Beerworks is a brewery and taproom on Industrial Terrace in north Austin. It has been brewing since 2011, and it chose cans from the start. Its taproom pours every core beer plus new RAD Lab beers each week that you can only get there.
RAD Labs is a 7-barrel pilot system where anyone at the brewery can try a recipe. Core beers include Pearl Snap, a German-style pils, and Fire Eagle, an American IPA. The website says Fire Eagle won a silver medal at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival.
Peacemaker was the first beer the brewery decided to brew, and Smalltime is its light beer. The taproom also serves wine, cider and frozen drinks. There is plenty of beer to go and a wall of merch.
Pets are welcome on the covered patio, though only service animals can go inside. The brewery runs a weekly run club from this taproom. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Austin on this site.

Can I bring my dog to Austin Beerworks?
Yes, outside. City code allows only service animals inside the taproom, but well-behaved pets are welcome everywhere else, including the covered patio.

Ask what is new from RAD Labs, since those beers change weekly and never leave the taproom. Collaboration beers show up on the big board too, and they go fast. Sunday closing time is earlier than the rest of the week.
Check the calendar on austinbeerworks.com before you go. Events marked OG are at this taproom, while SV means the newer Springdale Road location.
Several breweries are a short drive away. Adelbert's and Rusty Barrel are each about half a mile off, and Celis and Oskar Blues are both under a mile away.
