Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom is a brewery and taproom on East 6th Street in Austin. Its website says the original Spicy Boys Fried Chicken food truck, named the Austin Chronicle's top food truck in the city, got its start right here.

The lineup runs from lagers and hefeweizens to hazy IPAs and fruited sours, and the website says one of its hazy IPAs has won a World Beer Cup award. Zilker is also one of the few breweries that self-distributes, taking its beer straight from the brewhouse to local bars, restaurants and stores.

The taproom and biergarten have an industrial feel, with family-style seating and local artwork on the walls. Spicy Boys Fried Chicken and Patty Palace smash burgers serve food on-site, and Spicy Boys offers vegetarian options like tempeh sandwiches. Kids are welcome as long as only adults drink, dogs can join you on the patio on a leash, and the calendar includes trivia nights.
