About Commonhouse Aleworks
Commonhouse Aleworks is a brewery and brewpub in the Park Circle area of North Charleston. Its website calls it a Park Circle brewery celebrating what we all share in common. The site says a portion of the proceeds from every Commonhouse beer sold goes to community impact organizations.
The brewery grew out of a friendship between Hank Hanna and Pearce Fleming. They shared beer with friends at what they called Back Porch Beer sessions. The website says beer is what they make, but it is not their why.
Swig & Swine BBQ runs the food inside the taproom. It is the barbecue restaurant's fourth Lowcountry location. The menu lists smoked wings, pulled pork sandwiches and burgers, plus a kids menu.
The website invites neighbors to walk, bike or bring a stroller. It also lists semi private events. Commonhouse is one of the most reviewed breweries in North Charleston on this site.
