About The Whale A Craft Beer Collective
The Whale A Craft Beer Collective is a tasting room inside the Refinery Charleston complex on upper Meeting Street. It is the Lowcountry outpost of an Asheville craft beer shop built around rare and hard-to-source drinks. The Charleston location has indoor seating plus a rooftop patio with German biergarten tables.
The selection extends beyond beer to wine, cider, mead, sake, seltzer, kombucha and craft soda. The Whale says its shelves and taps range from vintage bottles to easier-drinking cans. A rotating lineup of food trucks visits weekly, and the calendar includes trivia and other events.
Dogs are welcome. Munkle Brewing co. is 0.3 miles away, Edmund's Oast Brewing Co. and Fatty's Beer Works are each 0.4 miles away, and Brewlab Charleston is 0.5 miles away.
