About Hazel Grove Brewing

From Hazel Grove Brewing's own website and its Google listing, read October 4, 2026.

Hazel Grove Brewing is a brewery and taproom on Irvine Street in Pittsburgh's Hazelwood neighborhood. Its website says it was started as a welcoming place to meet friends, make new ones and connect with the community. The brewery works with neighborhood groups and businesses such as Community Kitchen Pittsburgh and Hazelwood Cafe.

The beer list covers a wide range. Its website names lagers, stouts, West Coast and hazy IPAs, Belgians, English styles and seasonal beers. The taproom menu lists Isle of Pitt Scottish Ale as a bronze medal winner at the World Beer Cup, and the brewery says Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine scored its hazy IPA Robot Symphony a 97.

Non-drinkers have real choices too. The taproom keeps house-made Shakey Tate's Root Beer and a seasonal sparkling lemonade on hand, along with sodas. Pretzels are sold for snacking, and you are welcome to bring your own food.

The brewery says kids of all ages are a frequent sight in the taproom and courtyard. Friendly dogs are welcome in the courtyard, too.
