Dock Street Brewery South is a brewery and restaurant on Washington Avenue in the Point Breeze neighborhood. It opened in August 2019 inside a 10,500-square-foot warehouse that has had several past lives: a brewery over a century ago, then a tile factory, then a taxi repair shop.
Dock Street South keeps 12 beers on tap, and the list changes often. The mix runs from hazy pale ales and lagers to classics like Rye IPA and Bohemian Pilsner. All of the brewing and canning happens on site.
The kitchen serves hand-tossed, wood-fired pizzas along with sandwiches and salads, and outside food is not allowed. Kids are welcome throughout the space. Dogs cannot come inside the brewpub, but they are welcome on the outdoor patio.
