Kells Brewery is an Irish brewpub on NW 21st Avenue in Northwest Portland. The McAleese family founded it in 2012, after opening the original Kells Irish Pub in Portland in 1990. Its website calls it Portland's premier Irish pub.
The beer list is house-brewed and leans Irish. It includes a red ale, a lager, a pilsner, an IPA, a hazy IPA, a blood orange pale, a Cascade Dark Ale, a cider and an Irish stout poured on nitro. Guinness is on the list too, imported from Ireland.
The kitchen cooks traditional Irish pub food. Shepherd's pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage and a sausage roll all appear on the menu. There is a brunch menu and a game day menu as well.
