About Spider City Brewing Company
Spider City Brewing Company is a brewery on SE 9th Street in Bend, started by three friends. Melanie, Michele and Tammy met at Chico State and went on to drink beer around the world, from Europe to Asia to South Africa.
The name comes from their garage in Bend, which they called Spider City. That is where they first brewed, in the hot summer months. The website says they love a great IPA but want to bring Bend a wide variety of interesting beers.
The beer list leans European as often as it leans hoppy. It includes Hutte Swiss German Hefeweizen, Alpin Weiss, Pilsner Hallertau Blanc and Pavuchky Brewski, a Polish style lager. Spider Light is a Mosaic Grisette.
Hazy fans have options too. The website calls Deer Garden Hazy IPA its flagship hazy, and Sneaky Deer Hazy Double IPA and Grazing Goat West Coast IPA are on the list. Google lists a wheelchair accessible entrance, parking lot and restroom.
