About Wilmington Brewing Company
Wilmington Brewing Company is a family-friendly taproom on South Kerr Avenue in Wilmington. Wilmington natives John and Michelle Savard own and run it, along with Wilmington Homebrew Supply. The taproom promises great beer and a laid back room with fun for the whole crew.
The couple met craft beer at the University of North Carolina Asheville, where they started brewing beer and wine for themselves. They later toured breweries in 7 European countries. John worked at an Asheville packaging brewery and a homebrew supply store before they moved home to open their own.
Friendly dogs are welcome on a leash, and so are kids. You can bring your own food any time, and food trucks rotate through Wednesday through Sunday. There is indoor and outdoor seating, including a beer garden.
The Wilmington Brewing Run Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm, rain or shine, and all levels are welcome. Beer goes home in growlers, and 5 gallon kegs are sold in the taproom.
