Hi-Wire Brewing Durham is Hi-Wire's taproom at the Golden Belt Campus. Hi-Wire began in the summer of 2013 in Asheville's South Slope Brewery District, and the 2018 Durham opening was its first taproom outside Asheville. College roommates Adam Charnack and Chris Frosaker started the company.

The taproom pours 20 unique taps of Hi-Wire beer, from flagships and seasonals to specialties and sour and wild ales. Cocktails, liquor slushies, wine and cider are on the menu, along with non-alcoholic and THC options. It is 21 and over after 8pm.

There are two ping pong tables, cornhole and pinball machines, plus 360 degrees of indoor murals and a large covered patio. The taproom page lists it as pet friendly and family friendly, with free parking.

For food, you can order from Cugino Forno and have it delivered to your table, or pick up from Tipsy Bull next door. Outside food is welcome, but not outside drinks.
