Heist Brewery is a brewpub on North Davidson Street in NoDa, Charlotte. Heist opened in 2012, and its website says it was Charlotte's only craft brewpub at the time. It also says Heist created the original hazy IPA in North Carolina, CitraQuench'l, in 2016.
Heist started with small batch Belgian and German style beers. The range now runs from hazy IPAs and pilsners to fruited sours and adjuncted stouts. Occasional small batches are kept in house and poured at its own taprooms.
The kitchen is a big part of the draw. Wood-fired flatbreads and dips are the pride of the menu, and the burgers use a house blend of meats. The website says the chefs buy from local farms and cook with ingredients from the brewing process.
A cocktail program runs alongside the beer. Heist hosts private events and takes reservations through its website. It is one of the most reviewed beer spots in Charlotte on this site.

Come hungry, since the kitchen is half the reason to go. Ask for a CitraQuench'l if you want the beer Heist is known for. It opens earlier on Sunday than on weekdays.
Check the NoDa beer menu on heistbrewery.com before you go, and note that the Barrel Arts menus belong to the other location. Book ahead through the site for a larger group.
NoDa is made for walking between breweries. Growlers Pourhouse and Protagonist Beer are each about a four minute walk. The Chamber by Wooden Robot and Free Range Brewing are close behind.
