Canteen Taproom is a brewery taproom on Tramway Boulevard Northeast in Albuquerque. It is one of two Canteen locations, alongside the Canteen Brewhouse. Its website calls Canteen Albuquerque's original brewery, brewing since 1994, and says it has won more than 150 awards.
The lineup runs from Dougie Style Amber and Exodus IPA to High Plains Pilsner and Cabana Mexican Lager. Canteen also pours cider and offers wine by the glass from Vara Winery. Its website says Exodus IPA is a three-time New Mexico IPA Challenge winner.
The taproom has its own food menu. It lists shareables like nachos and Frito pie, plus chili, salads and a long run of sandwiches. Non-alcoholic choices include house-made root beer, NM Ferments kombucha and Athletic NA beer.
You can take beer home too, in six-packs, crowlers and growlers. Brain Gang Trivia runs on Monday nights at the taproom.
