Bombs Away Beer Company is a veteran owned and operated brewery and taproom in Albuquerque's Skyline Heights neighborhood. Almost every beer on the list is gluten removed. That makes it an easy stop for a group where not everyone can drink regular beer.
The tap list leans on clean lagers and pilsners, like Proximity Pilsner and Ten Seconds to Helles. There is also Independence Amber, a hazy Bombs Away IPA and Hazy Chain, a double IPA that changes with each batch. The single malt, single hop pilsner uses malt from Schwebach Malts in McIntosh, New Mexico.
The kitchen keeps it simple with pretzels, Frito pie, hot dogs and paninis. The paninis use Boar's Head meats and cheeses on bread from Sergio's Bakery, with names like Atomic Turkey and Cubano Missile.
